Your Enneagram
journey starts here

Let me share my view on the Enneagram..

Every time I hear a description of one of the nine Enneagram types, there is a part of me thinking “oh thank God I’m not that type.”

Especially Type 4 — often described as dramatic and moody. How can that ever encourage them to share their heart and lead others to dare to be different, when they are already being shamed for speaking their mind?

It is not motivating. It is making us ashamed to be who we are.
I believe we are ready for something deeper. A different perspective.

A New Enneagram for a New Humanity

Most people use the Enneagram to understand their differences — how each type is driven by different motivations and different fears. That is useful. But it is only the beginning.

My approach does not ask you to fix your type. It invites you to embody your leadership, through integrating all 9 types within yourself.

You are not your fear. You are the world you are here to build.

In my work, each of us carries a deep longing — a Soul Desire for a better world. But standing between us and that world is a core Existential Fear. And to help us move through that fear, we are each given a unique Superpower.

This Superpower is not neutral. When we are stressed or afraid, we use it unconsciously — often against ourselves. But when we become aware of this pattern and choose to use our Superpower intentionally, something powerful happens: we can work with our fear rather than run from it.

That process unlocks our Wisdom — a way of being that allows us to create the world we have always longed for, and to invite others into it – you become an inspiring leader.

More Than a Personality System

The Enneagram is also a map of how we belong to each other. The nine types represent nine ways of perceiving reality. Each type carries a piece of intelligence that the world needs. When we only operate from our own type, our view of life becomes narrow. When we begin to understand and embody the other types within ourselves, we expand our capacity to relate, to lead, and to build something meaningful.

When each type stands fully in their wisdom, they become a safe space for others to integrate that same quality within themselves. That is how we become whole — collectively.

In my approach, the types are organised around three deeper emotional drives:

Body types (8, 9, 1) Leads humanity from survival, boundaries, and the structures that make life possible.
Heart types (2, 3, 4) Leads individuality toward connection, being seen, and feeling valued in relationships.
Head types (5, 6, 7) Leads systems by understanding, securing, and creating meaning through knowledge and shared communities.

These three perspectives reflect different ways humans try to create safety and belonging. Understanding where your type sits helps you see not just your patterns — but why certain situations activate you more than others.

So — to follow up on how my way of working with the Enneagram looks for Type 4: the same person who has been called dramatic and overly emotional is actually the one brave enough to name the elephant in the room and give words to the feelings – opening conversations – others don’t even know how to begin.

Their sensitivity is not a weakness; it is their Superpower of emotional truth. It allows them to see beauty, pain, and authenticity in places others overlook.

And through that honesty, they give others permission to be real, as well.

This is exactly the shift my work invites for every type; learning to see that the quality you were taught to hide and being judged for, actually is the leadership the world needs from you.

Why This Matters Now

You already know: the world is shifting fast. Life has never been this uncertain and that is pushing us.

AI is changing how content is created. Strategy is being democratised. Information is everywhere. War is spreading and politics, religion and human rights are not to be trusted.

In this landscape, what makes you resilient is not what you know or what you produce. It is who you are, when you show up every day for your business, family and community. How much you trust yourself and your decisions to move you in the right direction.

The patterns you built your success on; your drive, your care, your insight, your harmony, are real strengths. But under pressure, those same patterns can become your ceiling. The ambition that built your current identity becomes forced performance. The care that built loyalty becomes self-abandonment. The strength that built authority becomes control.

Understanding your Enneagram type helps you see this clearly. But seeing it is not the same as transforming it.

Real transformation happens when moving through your fear, instead of being run by it. It requires more than knowledge. It requires reflection, mirroring, and a space where your fear is not judged or bypassed, but understood.

That is the difference between reading about your type and actually expanding beyond it.

Explore the Nine Types

Below you will find descriptions of the nine Enneagram types through my approach. Each type is explored through its deepest longing, the fear that shapes its behaviour, the superpower it carries, how that superpower can be misused when fear takes over, and how it can ultimately become a source of wisdom.

As you read, notice which type creates a response in your body. It might be recognition. It might be resistance. It might be curiosity. Whatever arises, trust it.

And if something stirs in you that wants to go deeper — if you sense that knowing your type is just the beginning — I have built a space for exactly that.

→ The Expansion Cycle is a 6-month cohort journey where you move from understanding your type to actually expanding your identity as a leader, through embodiment.

Learn more about the cohort →

Dear Type 1 – how would you like to work towards a world, where we all take responsibility for making things better – together? Where integrity, and justice guide us. Where everyone feels safe to grow without shame.
_______
Desire:
A world rooted in justice, honesty, and fairness.
Fear: Being corrupt, wrong, or morally flawed.
Superpower: Seeing what’s fair and needed.
Misused Superpower: Forcing rules or ideals too early, especially when they feel left out or unheard.
Wisdom: Allowing imperfection and co-creation to unfold organically, building systems that serve the whole.

The desire is to live in a world rooted in collective justice and integrity – a world where systems uplift everyone equally, and values are honored in action. To create this, they must trust that imperfection is part of the process. The fear is the opposite – being morally flawed, corrupt, or contributing to injustice themselves.

To build integrity, Type 1’s are given the Superpower of seeing what’s fair and needed. They naturally perceive imbalance, inefficiency, and ethical gaps – and are driven to make it right through principled action.

They abuse their Superpower when their fear is activated, by rigidly enforcing rules or ideals too soon, especially in situations still evolving. They may become controlling, judgmental, or harsh with themselves and others, believing it’s the only way to stay on track.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they allow space for co-creation, imperfection, and differing voices. From this grounded openness, they build systems that truly serve justice – not imposed from above, but built alongside others. Their integrity becomes a compass others trust, not a standard they fear.

Dear Type 2 – how would you like to work towards a world, where we all create space for deep, loving, authentic relationships? Where we can hold space for vulnerability. Cry, grieve, laugh, dance – together.
_______
Desire: A world of unconditional love and mutual devotion.
Fear: Being unwanted or unworthy of love.
Superpower: Devoted attention to what makes each person feel uniquely seen and loved.
Misused Superpower: Offering attention, care, or gestures of love to secure connection or avoid rejection, even when it is not invited.
Wisdom: Trusting true love to allow (possible) disconnection, creating deeper authenticity.

The desire is to live in a world of unconditional love – where connection runs deep, and everyone feels seen, supported, and embraced just as they are. To create this, they must believe that they are lovable even when they’re not giving. The fear is the opposite – being unwanted, unneeded, or unworthy of love.

To foster connection, Type 2s are given the Superpower of devoted attention. They naturally notice the small details that make people feel special — remembering meaningful dates, sensing when someone needs a hug, choosing a gift that feels deeply personal, or offering affection in a way that matches exactly what the other person needs. Through this attentiveness, they help people feel truly seen.

They abuse their Superpower when their fear is activated by using this attentiveness to secure connection. Their gestures of love can become a way of making themselves indispensable or avoiding the risk of rejection. What begins as genuine care can subtly shift into over-giving or creating emotional dependency.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they trust love enough to allow space, disconnection, or even rejection when needed. In doing so, they embody true unconditional love – one that respects boundaries and flows both ways. Their presence becomes a sanctuary where others feel safe to be fully themselves.

Dear Type 3 – how would you like to work towards a world, where we all dare to go after our deepest desires? Where we can all feel fulfilled and celebrate the ultimate of this beautiful life, together.
_______
Desire: A world where soulful fulfillment guides success.
Fear: Being worthless or useless.
Superpower: Seeing how we can achieve our desires (willpower and drive).
Misused Superpower: Performing or chasing success to gain validation.
Wisdom: Redirecting energy toward aligned action, grounded in connection, not image.

The desire is to experience soulful fulfilment – to live a life that feels meaningful and deeply connected, where their strength and willpower are seen, appreciated, and make a difference to the people they care about most. In order to do that, they need to move toward desires that are truly their own, not just what earns applause. The fear is the opposite – being worthless, unseen, or unimportant in the eyes of those they long to connect with.

To reach the depth of connection they long for, Type 3’s are given the Superpower of seeing how to achieve any goal. They intuitively know what steps are needed to bring an idea into reality and have the energy and willpower to make it happen.

They abuse this Superpower when their fear is activated, by performing for love instead of being in love. They become what they think others want to see – successful, impressive, brave – hoping it will make them indispensable. But this keeps them disconnected from their authentic self and, ironically, from the real intimacy they crave.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they slow down and dare to show up without the polished version of themselves. When they reveal their heart, their limits, and their truth — they open the door for genuine connection. From here, their ability to achieve becomes a vessel for meaning, not validation. They become leaders who show others that fulfilment comes from being fully you, not from chasing worth, but achieving real life goals.

Dear Type 4 – how would you like to work towards a world, where we all dare to share our authentic feelings? Where we don’t have to tiptoe around, guessing what is going on, but freely speak up.
_______
Desire: A world of authentic, emotional connection.
Fear: Having no identity or being emotionally empty.
Superpower: Seeing what needs to be said.
Misused Superpower: Overexpressing pain or uniqueness to maintain identity or feel significant.
Wisdom: Using emotional truth to create beauty, intimacy, and belonging.

The desire is to connect authentically – to be fully seen and felt in their depth, complexity, and uniqueness. To create such soul-level intimacy, they must express their inner world vulnerably and trust that it has value. The fear is the opposite – that they are too different, emotionally broken, or that their true self will never be fully loved.

To create this kind of intimacy, Type 4’s are given the Superpower of seeing what needs to be said. They have an uncanny sensitivity to emotional undercurrents and can articulate the unspoken in ways that resonate deeply and bring healing.

They abuse their Superpower when their fear is activated, by withdrawing into emotional self-expression that centers themselves but disconnects them from others. They may over-identify with pain or uniqueness in order to feel the depts of life, which paradoxically keeps them isolated from the connection they seek.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they speak truth in service of connection – not to be special, but to be real. When they allow themselves to belong even in their ordinariness, their deep emotional intelligence becomes a healing bridge for others to feel safe in their own depths.

Dear Type 5 – how would you like to work towards a world, where we all share our knowledge and inner wisdom, without comparing? Where curiosity and sharing create important, meaningful insights.
_______
Desire: A world where they can just be—without intrusion or pressure.
Fear: Being overwhelmed or invaded.
Superpower: Seeing the objective perspective.
Misused Superpower: Withdrawing or withholding to preserve internal resources.
Wisdom: Engaging from calm presence, offering insight as nourishment, not protection.

The desire is to just be; to exist peacefully in their own space, with clarity, freedom, and enough space to remain grounded. To create this kind of simplicity and sovereignty, they must understand their environment before engaging. The fear is the opposite – being overwhelmed, intruded upon, or emotionally consumed by others.

To create this inner spaciousness, Type 5’s are given the Superpower of seeing the objective perspectives. They can step back, observe without judgment, and bring calm, clear insight into complex situations.

They abuse their Superpower when their fear is activated, by retreating too far inward – hoarding energy, knowledge, or time to avoid being needed. This cuts them off from the community, reinforcing the illusion that engagement will cost them their essence and independency.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they participate gently but consistently. When they risk sharing their insights and presence, their calm clarity becomes a stabilising force in the community – showing others how to relate without intrusion and think without emotional entanglement.

Dear Type 6 – How would you like to work towards a world, where we all feel safe, supported and deeply connected? Where we can trust one another, stand together in truth and create stability in community.
_______
Desire: A world of trustworthy, safe, committed community.
Fear: Being without support or left out.
Superpower: Seeing group dynamics clearly.
Misused Superpower: Projecting worst-case scenarios or clinging to loyalty out of fear.
Wisdom: Trusting self and others, and co-creating secure bonds through responsibility and courage.

The desire is to belong in a trustworthy community – to be held by something greater than themselves, where everyone has each other’s back. To create this, they must learn to trust their own inner compass as part of the collective. The fear is the opposite – being unsupported, betrayed, or left to face life alone, without resources.

To build this sense of inner safety, Type 6’s are given the Superpower of seeing group dynamics. They instinctively read power structures, alliances, and risks in any community setting, and they know how to strengthen the group from within – delegating responsibility trustfully.

They abuse their Superpower when their fear is activated, by projecting distrust and “testing” other’s engagement, before safety is even threatened. This can create self-fulfilling prophecies of instability and distance, keeping them in constant defence mode, withdrawing from the community itself.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they trust both their intuition and the organic unfolding of relationships. In this space, their deep loyalty and discernment become anchors that help communities navigate fear without falling apart – building the very trust they long for.

Dear Type 7 – how would you like to work towards a world, where we all live with joy, freedom, and endless possibilities? Where life is playful, meaningful, and nothing is off-limits when it comes to fully experiencing the richness of being human.
_______
Desire: A world of freedom, possibility, and satisfying experiences.
Fear: Being limited or dependent.
Superpower: Seeing solutions for any situation.
Misused Superpower: Avoiding discomfort through distraction or constant stimulation.
Wisdom: Embracing depth and presence as part of joy, and turning creativity into lasting contribution.

The desire is to experience satisfaction and freedom – a life full of joy, potential, and creative expansion. To live this way, they must stay present with life as it is, not just chase what could be. The fear is the opposite – being limited, stuck, or emotionally dependent on others.

To build a life of expansive presence, Type 7’s are given the Superpower of seeing solutions for any situation. Their minds move fast, connecting ideas and options in ways that energize and uplift.

They abuse their Superpower when their fear is activated, by escaping discomfort through distraction, over-planning, or reframing pain too quickly. They may bypass emotional depth in favour of novelty, which ironically leaves them unsatisfied at the core.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they find freedom even in their discomfort, deep enough to expand from it. From that stillness, their creativity becomes deeply rooted – not about escape, but about liberation. They lead others into joy not through avoidance, but through honest engagement with life’s full range.

Dear Type 8 – how would you like to work towards a world, where we all stand strong in our truth? Where honesty, courage, and protection of the vulnerable are the foundation of every relationship, and power is used with love.
_______
Desire: A world of collective stability and empowered safety.
Fear: Being controlled or made powerless/passive.
Superpower: Seeing what needs to be done to build strong foundations.
Misused Superpower: Controlling or dominating to avoid emotional disruptions.
Wisdom: Using strength to empower others, allowing heart-led flow as leadership.

The desire is to build collective stability — a world where power is used to empower others, not dominate, and where no one is left vulnerable. To create this, they must be willing to use their strength with compassion, not control. The fear is the opposite — being controlled, violated, or rendered powerless. To passively watching others being abused.

To become protectors of stability and direction, Type 8’s are given the Superpower of seeing what needs to be done to build a strong foundation. They have an instinct for taking charge and ensuring that no one is left behind.

They abuse their Superpower when their fear is activated, by dominating, defending, or pushing others, to avoid vulnerability. Their strength becomes a wall rather than a bridge, cutting them off from the very people they want to protect.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they allow others in – not just into their mission, but into their hearts. From that place, they become fierce, grounded leaders who empower rather than overpower. Their stability becomes a shelter, not a fortress.

Dear Type 9 – how would you like to live in a world where peace is more than being quiet? Where inner calm and honest connection invite everyone to show up fully – with their needs, feelings, and truths.
_______
Desire: A world of inner and outer peace through inclusion.
Fear: Being arrogant or separate from others.
Superpower: Seeing how different opinions can benefit one another.
Misused Superpower: Merging or numbing to avoid conflict.
Wisdom: Being present in their full truth, inviting integration without losing oneself.

The desire is to live in collective peace – a world where different voices harmonise, and conflict doesn’t have to destroy connection. To create this, they must believe that their voice matters too. The fear is the opposite – becoming arrogant, dominant, or the source of conflict themselves.

To cultivate peace, Type 9’s are given the Superpower of seeing how different opinions can benefit one another. They instinctively know how to weave perspectives together, creating unity without erasure.

They abuse their Superpower when their fear is activated, by erasing themselves for the sake of keeping peace. They may defer, merge, or avoid decisions – hoping that silence will keep everything smooth. But this weakens both their impact and the trust others have in their ability to honestly and calmly share their observations and opinions.

They use their Superpower to enter their Wisdom when they speak up and take a stand from the centre of their being. Their calm, inclusive perspective then becomes an embodied model of peace – not the absence of conflict, but the art of weaving difference into belonging, being understood and accepted, by everyone.

Ready to Go Beyond Your Type?

Knowing your type is powerful. But embodying your knowledge is what awakens your authentic leadership.

If you are sensing that the version of you who built what you have now, cannot hold the version of you who is emerging, then that feeling is not a problem. It is an invitation.
